Back to School 2019

Back to School 2019

Welcome to the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School 2019-2020 school year! The first day of school is Monday, August 12th, and we can’t wait to begin. Here are some tips to help get you ready for an awesome school year.!

Schedule Pick-Up: Students can pick up their schedules, rent lockers ($20), purchase a parking permit ($25), and pay supply donation ($30) on Wednesday, July 31st from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm.  Early schedule pick-up will not be available for students who have proof of residency questions, owe cafeteria charges, have not turned in textbooks, chrome book (including charger and case) or library books or have other financial obligations.

Open House for the 2019-20 school year is Thursday, August 8th from 6-8 pm. Teachers will be in their classrooms to meet and greet students and parents.  Schedule/fee payment, etc., will be available for students who were unable to attend on July 31st. Also, please be sure to vote for your local school governance team representative before you leave!

The first day of school is Monday, August 12th.  The school building opens at 7:00 am.  Breakfast will be served to begin at 7:15 am.  Students will report to the new gym at 7:45 am.  Students arriving after 8:00 am are tardy.  Regular dismissal is 3:15 pm.

Dress Code: When purchasing school clothes, please ensure they follow the guidelines in the Catoosa County Student Handbook. Thank you.

Seniors can purchase a reserved, customized, parking spot for an additional fee.  See the school website (in late July) for reserved parking information including personalized painting information.  All funds collected for senior parking will go directly toward senior activities.

Lunches: The free/reduced lunch application is located on both the school’s and the district’s website. You can complete it from your home. It’s simple and only takes a few minutes to complete.

Supplies:  Do not worry about purchasing supplies before school begins.  Very few supplies are needed and schedules sometimes change during the first week of school

Parents of current LFO High School students, if you are interested in serving on the local school governance team for a 2-year term beginning in August 2019, please email Principal Charles Nix at  Mandatory once per month meetings are required. Elections will be held during Open House on August 8, 2019.

Feathers up Warrior Nation!
