Congratulations to our Meat Science and Floral Design competitors! Our Meat Science team placed 3rd out of 20 teams in the area. Meat Science requires students to identify 25 different cuts of meat from beef, pork, and lambs, determine the Quality and Yield grade of ribeyes, and rank three different classes of bacon, pork loin chops, and New York Strip steaks. Team members were: Maddie Lowrance- 4th High Individual, Joey Burr- 9th High Individual, Caitlin Loy- 15th High Individual, and Randy Burr- 22nd High Individual.


Floral Design, Haylee Horne, placed 8th out of 31 competitors. The Floral Design CDE consists of one floral arrangement, a 25 question knowledge test over the Floral Industry, and a 25 question Flower Identification.
