The National Beta Club is the nation's largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization that is known for its commitment to recognizing and promoting high academic achievement, rewarding and nurturing worthy character, fostering leadership skills and encouraging service to others.
The National Beta Club has worked with over 6.5 million young people in grades 5-9 (Junior Beta Club) and grades 9-12 (Senior Beta Club). There are now more than 450,000 active members and more than 8,750 clubs nationally and internationally.
LFO's Beta Club consists of approximately 40 members who all meet the following criteria:
- 10th, 11th or 12th grade student
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Completion of at least 20 hours of community service each year
- Maintain excellent behavior and set an example for others
