Summer Office Hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday

-limited availability during lunch from 12:00-1:30 daily

-The school will be closed some days during the summer due to maintenance, cleaning, etc.

*Offices closed Memorial Day

 Summer School: 

Unit Recovery - for students with grades between 60 and 69 

-May 27 - June 10 Monday - Thursday (Fridays are digital) - this is the basic window to clear an INCOMPLETE

-Session one:  9:30 - 11:30

-Session two:  12:00 - 2:00 

-Grab and go breakfast at 9:15 & a 30-minute cafeteria lunch are available

-Transportation available, but ONLY at 8:30 and 2 (no buses between sessions)

-Students can attend ONE or BOTH sessions.  When work is complete, students no longer have to attend.

-Students may complete more than one credit. 

-Work is given to Ms. Chandler by the classroom teacher.

-Maximum grade is 70.  

Credit Recovery - for students who FAILED A CLASS 1st semester OR student with BELOW a 60 for 2nd semester

-May 27 - June 24 Monday - Thursday (Fridays are digital) -- this is longer because students are retaking a credit, not clearing an INCOMPLETE

-Session one:  9:30 - 11:30

-Session two:  12:00 - 2:00 

-Grab and go breakfast at 9:15 & a 30 minute cafeteria lunch are available

-Transportation available, but ONLY at 8:30 and 2 (no buses between sessions)

-Students can attend ONE or BOTH sessions.  When work is complete, students no longer have to attend.

-Students may complete more than one credit. 

-Maximum grade is the grade earned.  This will NOT replace the original failing grade on the transcript, but it WILL allow the student to regain the credit to be on track for graduation.

-Courses will be assigned through APEX.Please see the website for details.

New Booster Shot Required for School: According to the current health state guidelines, all incoming 11th grade students will need proof of a booster dose of the meningococcal vaccine on or after their 16th birthday. The required summer reading list for students taking Honors or AP English classes are available on the school website. The recommended summer reading list for all LFO students is also posted on the schools website. Click HERE for the LFO 2021-2022 Summer Reading List!  

Schedule Pick-up: Early schedule pick-up will not be available for students who have proof of residency questions, owe cafeteria charges, have not turned in textbooks, chrome book (including charger and case), library books, or have other financial obligations.

Driver’s License Forms:  If you need a driver’s license/learner permit form during the summer, please email Kari Hilliard or call the school a couple of days before you need the form.  Mrs. Jeffers will prepare the form and have it ready for pickup.  The form must be notarized and have the principal’s signature, so calling or emailing early will save you time. Please allow 3 business days to complete the forms.

Transcripts: If you need transcripts sent or a hard copy, please email our registrar, Jana Bullen

Seniors can purchase a reserved, customized, parking spot for an additional fee.  See the school website (in late July) for reserved parking information including personalized painting information.  All funds collected for senior parking will go directly toward senior activities.

Summer sports workouts and band and athletic camps will be going on throughout the summer.  Check the website or email the Athletic Director Coach Chris Eaves for details. GHSA Dead Weeks (no athletics) 5/31-6/6 and 6/28-7/4

Fall sports (softball, volleyball, cross country, and football) will officially begin August 1st.  Please check the school website and athletic websites for specific information.  Try-outs for cross country and football will be held before school begins.
