"We are a non-profit providing free food, clothing, and other essentials to families in need. We also open our thrift stores for public shopping 3 days a week; the profits from which are used to purchase food for our assistance programs.

If you live in Catoosa County, Walker County (not including Lafayette), or Whitfield County (not including Dalton) - you can receive the max assistance from us 5x per calendar year as long as you fall within the state assigned income threshold based on your household size.

Bring your ID and proof of residence for our service area(preferably a utility bill) to receive the max assistance we can offer."

What is McKinney-Vento?

The Mckinney-Vento act is designed to address the challenges that children and youth experiencing housing insecurity can face in enrolling, attending, and succeeding in school.

If your student or a student you know is:
  • staying with friends or family temporarily due to economic hardship
  • staying in a hotel, motel, or campground
  • living in a shelter
  • staying somewhere that is not meant to be used as a home or sleeping place, such as a car or other public place

Catoosa County Children's Fund

The Fund provides short-term assistance to qualified Catoosa County School students and their families when unexpected needs create a barrier to a child’s ability to attend school, participate fully, or focus on learning.

Assistance may include food, clothing, shelter, eyeglasses, dental and medical care, education-related supplies or fees, scholarships and admission’s fees, or other short-term emergency needs.
